Phillip H. Omohundro, MD, MBA, is a 1980-graduate of the Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC. His postgraduate training includes his general surgery residency served at the MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC (1980-1982), as well as his orthopedic surgery residency performed at Howard University (1982 – 1986) and Deaconess Hospital (1986 – 1987). Dr. Omohundro completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the Mercy Health – Cincinnati SportsMedicine and Orthopaedic Center in Ohio. He attained board certification in orthopedic surgery with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Furthermore, he is a member of several professional societies and associations, such as the American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians. Dr. Omohundro received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at Dartmouth College in 1976.
